I am thinking - it is not just ability. But intelligence is an ability which comes with ease. I may have born intelligence/ability or I can pursue further my intelligence/ ability. But there is that "ease" or "natural" or "spontaneous" factor...Still thinking..
To me intelligence is a unique set of "build-in structure(s)" of a person that operates as an ability (unique) to learn about / from anything, The unique built-in structure varies in relation to: A) physical state or mental maturity level of the person who is using it, B) time when it is used, C) environment or situation under which it is used. There could be other parameters of the variability.
